The
right of the individual to protect and defend themselves is
the most basic of fundamental rights. The second amendment
was positioned at the top of the Bill of Rights because of the
importance of the citizen’s self-protection from tyranny
or assault.
Many politicians in both major parties have tried to destroy
this right and it is the duty of all Americans to make their
representatives uphold the Constitution and defend our ability
to keep liberty.
I believe the right to carry and the right to carry concealed
and the choice of armament should be left to the individual
to decide. An armed citizenry is and will always be the
best way to detour domestic crimes while discouraging any foreign
invaders.
