The
Second Amendment to the United States Constitution did not grant
us the right to keep and bear arms. God did.
The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution merely
acknowledges that God gave us the right to defend ourselves,
our property, and our families.
Oregon Constitution Article I,§27 is an aid to Oregonians
who want to protect themselves and others. It has been misconstrued
in recent court cases to allow the Oregon legislature to infringe
the rights of certain, disfavored people to possess firearms.
I hope to read and apply this section literally when elected. |
