This page is a work in progress. If you have information you would like to see here, please sent it to us.OFF neither endorses nor opposes candidates. This information is provided for educational purposes only.Note, we have not posted any information on Democratic candidates because of the party's position against gun rights. We will however post anything relevant about any candidate. To see what the NRA has to say about candidates, click here.Note that even with open anti-gun track records, the NRA posts quotes from candidates which are clearly lies, and never questions any of them.
For more info on candidates see this link.

Mitt Romney (dropped out)
Supports Brady Registration, a ban on semi auto's and lies in this first clip about having the support of the NRA.(See a gun maker stop making guns long enough to make excuses for this gun grabber.)

Rudy Giuliani (Dropped out)

John McCain
In 2000, John McCain used thousands in out of state money to campaign to end private sales of firearms at gun shows in Oregon and Colorado. He succeeded. For some views of McCain from the left, see here.

Fred Thompson(Dropped out)
Fred Thompson supported the notorious "Lautenberg" law that has denied gun rights to untold thousands of Americans because of minor and sometimes nonexistent infractions claimed to be "domestic violence."

Ron Paul STILL RUNNING!

Mike Huckabee (DROPPED OUT)
Huckabee has been openly supportive of gun rights as in this interview where he stated "The Second Amendment is about freedom. It`s about protecting ourselves, our families, our property, and ultimately, if necessary -- I know this sounds pretty bold -- but from our own government, when they get out of control. That`s what it`s all about."

However, he has endorsed extending the failed record keeping system that was greatly expanded by the passage of the NRA's gun control bill HR 2640.

"Would you support legislation to provide incentives to states to forward records of prohibited gun buyers to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System?

Huckabee: Yes. The legislation would help law enforcement and commercial firearms dealers prevent gun sales to felons, as well as those adjudicated mentally ill or incompetent, Huckabee said. "
