Will mail application. It can be picked up and dropped off at sheriff's office without appointment. Must have proof of competency (NRA course, or military trained.) $65 at the time application is turned in. Do not need references for renewal. You do need two references on your 1st application. They will do a general background check. If you have not lived in Baker County for the last 5 years they will write to your last residence and see if you had any problem. Said they did know that you can't carry in federal buildings and in “some forests.
